Summer Learning Journey Week 4 Day 4

Day 4. Campaigning for Conservation
Activity 1
I have chosen Plastic Pledge and I think that it can be:
Recycle and No Problem
Or
Recycle and Recycle, Keep it up!

Activity 2
Ana (Mother):
I think that they have made a great and healthy decision because I also agree with my daughter and I want living creatures to live, they also deserve to live like we deserve to live. But I think that it is hard for me because I am so used to plastic bags and the 1 thing that I hate about the plastic bag is that it breaks so easily. It is so hard for me because I have been using plastic bags for about like 3 years or 2 years and it is very helpful for me.

For me I think that it is a great and thoughtful idea because when you just throw away plastic bags it goes into the ocean, then the turtles and other sea creatures can just eat the plastic bag. The plastic bag might affect the sea creatures body and we don’t want that to happen because we want to keep living things alive not dead. I

Activity 3

I think that the government is right because if they still continue to do the same thing over and over then the place will be damaged and there will be no way to fix it. So I think that the government’s decision is right and I think that it is going to help the city grow stronger and stronger.

  2. The Maui dolphins are not allowed to have a baby
  3. They can change colors every time their feelings change

Activity 3
  1. Roses
  2. Sunflower
  3. Daisies
  4. Poppy
  5. Lions
  6. Horses
  7. Cheetah
  8. Cats
  9. Bees
  10. Elephant

I have chosen these living creatures and I think that they are all important to protect because these living creatures are so unique. I also think that they are all important to protect because they are living things that God has created and we need to protect whatever God has given us even if he has given us a challenge. If we are not protecting important things then we are just wasting our time watching TV or playing games like fortnite and UFC 2.

  4. Fourth thing that I like to do is just to look outside the window for like 10 or 5 seconds and I don’t know why I do that I think that it’s just a habitat.
  5. Last thing that I like to do when it is rainy is to help my sister with the kids and  cleaning.

Activity 3
When it stopped, my family and I decided to go for a walk outside. I opened the door and… I took 1 step softly and gently because I was so frightened that the MASSIVE and GIGANTIC acid rain storm might do something to my family and I. I got used to it and I just noticed that some of the trees don’t even have leaves on them, I felt like the tree was naked and plain

There was this other tree that had very colourful trees and it was so beautiful and gorgeous, I couldn’t stop staring at it but Toni (Dad) got my attention by shouting to me “Ha’u ki heni” (Come here but in Tongan) so I listened to him.

When Asipeli (15 year old brother) and I was walking to Toni, Asipeli and I stepped on this small branch, all of a sudden all I could feel was my body dropping into this dark and pitch black hole.

My soul felt like it was getting sucked by this creature in Amulet on the first book, then I just noticed where we are and then my family was making sure if Asipeli and I was okay.

The suddenly Ana (Mum) found a rope hidden underneath the leaves that was on the ground, and Toni and the family pulled me up but then when it came to Asipeli.

They tried and tried to pull him up but our family wasn’t going to give up that easily to I joined in to and so we tried 1 more time and that didn’t work out.

Then we tried 1 more time and we were able pull him up, when everyone was safe after that I was so lucky and blessed that I have such a caring family.

When Rongo’s wife returned he asked her where has she been and
she was in a horrible rage, then Rongo told Matai that all the wives vanished,

Summer Learning Journey Week 3 Day 3

Day 3. Taking Flight
Activity 1
The bird that I have chosen is the Black Robin and I have chosen that because it says that the bird is in some serious trouble and I wanted to see why it is in serious trouble. The Black Robin is small and it is black all over his body and when he speaks it sounds like he or she is singing a song.  The beak is also black and it is king of shiny too and it is so small that it could fit in someone’s hand. The eyes is also pitch black and when I first saw the Black Robin I was so frightened by the eyes because I thought that the bird was a demon bird or something like that. But then I got used to it and I think that it lives on the trees on South East, I think that it eats worms, grubs, wetas and cockroaches.Image result for Black Robin

Activity 2
The superpower that I would want is to fly because I want to experience what it feels like to be your body in the middle of the air. I also would want to fly because I can just fly anywhere whenever I want and instead of walking I can just fly which is way faster then walking. I also want that superpower because I could do AWESOME and AMAZING tricks.

Activity 3
The animal that I chosen from the site is the flying snake and here is my DLO (Digital Learning Object)

Summer Learning Journey Week 3 Day 2

Day 2. The Air Up There
Activity 1
The word ‘bumblebee’ is a compound word (bumble + bee). The word ‘bumble’ means to hum, buzz or drone.
Bumblebees can fly very quickly. They can reach ground speeds of 54 kilometres per hour (km/h).
Bumblebees are very strong! They carry up to 50 percent of their body weight in food with them to avoid starvation.
Bumblebees can do more work and carry more pollen than other bees, including honeybees. In fact, they can do up to 90 times as much work as a normal honeybee.
The number of bumblebees is declining in New Zealand due to a number of factors, including the removal of wildflowers and flowering trees, habitat loss, and extensive use of pesticides.

Activity 2

These are all the foods that I would like to put in my special sink and there is more but I can’t think of them at the moment.
  • Tomato
  • Brussel sprouts
  • Beans

Activity 3

I think that it would take about 2 hours to remove all of those molds one at a time. I think that it is 2 hours because I just took away 7 to the 5 and it is 2 hours. This might not be the answer because I didn't quite get this question and I didn’t understand it.
