Day 4. Spectacular, Spectacular
Activity 1
I would go by the helicopter because I feel like it’s safer that it is not on land and I also have chosen the helicopter because I want to see the view from the top, see how spectacular and interesting. I also want to take the helicopter because I want to see if there is anything wrong where I am going to and I don’t want to walk because then I would just be tired walking like 10 steps, I don’t like being tired. I don’t want to go on the boat because I feel like something is going to happen like a shark might attack the boat and other sea creatures.
Activity 2
- Lime’s child or Lemon’s child
- The pool is lava
- The Grinch’s fever or The Grinch’s madness
- Christmas fever*
- The catch of the witch or Halloween surprise
Activity 3
I think that this selfie happened after playing a sport and the guy who is holding the phone wanted to take a photo with the other team, I think that after the sport that they were playing, I think they wanted a selfie just to be to be a memory. I also think that after playing their sports I think they just want to take a selfie with their idol or something like that. I think that those people in the picture are on a field or on a court, I think that they were finishing off their sports that they were playing. I think that the boy with the phone just wants a picture with celebrities or his idols to be remembered as a memory.

Since last summer, I have moved to London, England. It's a long way from home and very cold at the moment but I am having lots of fun and learning lots.
Thank you for completing another set of activities. It would be so exciting visiting the Milford Sound in a helicopter. It would give you such a different perspective of the area. Personally, I think I would enjoy hiking. It would be nice to breathe in the fresh air and get some exercise too.
Great job creating five unique titles for the Rotorua geothermal pool. I particularly like the Christmas Fever one you have selected. What made you choose this one? I think I would call it Mountain Dew - especially if it was bubbling away.
Thank you for writing a decent sized paragraph describing the selfie. There's definitely a high chance that these guys are at a sport's game because one is wearing a New York baseball hat and the another is wearing a Chicago Bulls basketball singlet. Do you play or watch any sports? Since I've moved to London I've been watching a lot of soccer (or football as the English call it).

DeleteThank you for commenting on my blog and I remember you from the last Summer Learning Journey. What is it like moving to London, England? and my older brother and his partner just went there for the holidays.
I chose Christmas fever because since that Christmas just past (My birthday) I wanted to do a Christmas name for that pool and I really like the name that you think you would call it.
I used to play netball and soccer at St Pius school, it is more funnier and fun when I play netball and soccer with my friends because every time I play with them they always make me burst out with laughter.
Then I can't just stop laughing and I also noticed a guy wearing a basketball singlet so that's why I thought they just finished playing a game and they were at this court or field.

Hi Dianne, thanks for getting back to me so quickly. It's currently 9.47pm. Thanks for asking, it's been a big change. I'm teaching a class of 30 eight year olds who can be quite challenging.
DeleteThere are so many different kinds of people in London, it's really quite cool. When people hear me speak they think that I am Australian. Apparently our accents are quite similar? It's so busy here. There are people everywhere, it's crazy. It also means it's quite safe.
It's strange that it's so cold at Christmas. I am used to summer and barbecues. It's a great place to live because it's so close to lots of different countries which means you can travel quite easily.
Did your brother and his partner enjoy their time over here?
I am glad to hear that you have a good time with your friends when playing sport. That's what it should be all about!
Some people take sport way too seriously and get upset quite easily.

My brother and his partner are still there and they are staying there for like 6 or 5 weeks. I agree some people DO take the sports way too seriously easily and that why I enjoy playing with my friends because they are not like that.

Hey Dianne, that's great. I am sure your brother and his partner are having a great time! It's quite fun being in London in Christmas. There are lots of fantastic light displays, big Christmas trees in the middle of parks and things hanging in the street. It's a fun time.
DeleteHowever, I have heard that after Christmas is when winter really sets in for a few months. It can be pretty tough here between January and March. The days are really short too. The sun sets at about 4pm. Fortunately, you do get used to it after a little while. Lots of people take vitamin D pills since there isn't much sunlight.
Do you have any countries that you would like to move to or visit when you are older?
